This course explores the history and ongoing impact of housing discrimination in the real estate industry, from early 20th-century zoning laws and restrictive covenants to modern-day implicit bias and systemic barriers. Through historical analysis, personal reflection, and real-world case studies, students will gain a deeper understanding of fair housing challenges, and the role real estate professionals have played—and continue to play—in shaping equitable access to housing.
